Leading EdTech Company based out of New Delhi, India runs e-learning web portals and mobile apps for students and teachers. They specialize in enhancing organizational performance by the effective and efficient applications of advanced technology and outsourcing solutions for our clients. Their goal is to not only solve short-term business and technology problems for our clients, but to create latest competitive advantages that drive future growth and success.
Problem Statement
Due to rapid growth of End Users, company was facing huge scaling challenges. Their application hits 80,000-90,000 users in 1 hour, during exam times it reaches up to 400,000 active users everyday which causes latency issues to the end users. There were 30 virtual Machines which needs to be migrated from On-Prem Data Center to AWS cloud.
Below is the snapshot of existing infrastructure which we migrated to Amazon cloud.
1.) Number of virtual Machines: 28-30.
2.) Migrated Production environment with 6-7 live websites and Mobile Applications.
3.) Database details: 3 databases instances, 2 Databases were configured together in high availability DRBD mode. Configuration is 18 vCPU and 120GB RAM.
4.)one more server acting as Slave MySQL server. Redash 1 was connected to this Slave server which we use for internal reporting.
5.) Daily Active users: 200,000- 300,000 and 400,000 during Exam time

This Setup Support For Hundreds Of Millions Of Operations Per Second.
Also, We Have Not Only Configured Fully Managed Inmemory Service But Also Deployed It On Each Ec2 Servers To Enhance Performance And Availability.
We Were Able To Reduce Latency By Four Times And Achieved 99.95% Uptime.

Before The Migration, Customer Had To Manually Monitor Whether The Configuration Of The Vms Configured As Per The Requirements, Especially With Database Servers.
We Have Used Rds For The Database And Used Asg For Autoscaling.

Successfully Deployed App-integrated Amazon Cloudwatch Stack For Monitoring. When Traffic Exceeds The 65 Percent Threshold, Autoscaling Provisions Additional Resources, Which Ensures Customer Remains Highly Available And Durable Regardless Of High Traffic.
